    SHARP CELEBRATES CHANNEL SUCCESS WITH FIRST CHANNEL CHAMPION AWARDS

    Sharp has held its first Channel Champion Awards in London, England to recognise teams and individuals who have produced exceptional results. Sharp marked the occasion by opening the doors to its Central London showroom for the second time this year, inviting visitors to view its most up-to-date portfolio of professional display products.The event included speeches from Sharp’s Chris Parker, senior product manager, who provided details on the visual solutions product road map, and Duncan Peberdy, who discussed how interactive technology, such as the Big Pad, is transforming higher education.

    Angela Townsend, sales manager for visual solutions at Sharp, said: “We are delighted to be honouring some of our loyal channel partners for their work, and recognising the significant role they have played in our continued sales success this year.”

    The best and brightest of the region’s businesses have been honoured for their successes over the past year.

    Nigel Stewart, commercial director of BAE Systems Maritime, which sponsored the awards, praised all the firms which made the short list.

    ‘The success of the Solent area relies on the business community working together with our local authorities and economic partners and as a result of this joint working, there is a huge amount of investment coming into the city, which is helping to drive continued prosperity.’

    The News editor Mark Waldron hosted the event, and said: ‘To pick our winners this year was tough for the judges, and I would like to thank each company who entered for making our job so hard.’
